I am a second generation blacksmith and I started in the family business at the age of 14. I trained with
my late father, Randy Jacoby, and became a full time blacksmith and fabricator upon my graduation
from high school.
I have since developed my skill even further by completing the Comprehensive Fundamentals of Forging
Course with Uri Hofi in 2005 (New York). I also completed the Forgery School of Blacksmithing with
Wendel Broussard in 2009 (New Mexico).
Now as the owner of Jacoby Iron Works, I still have my hands in all aspects from the design to the
installation. When you work with Jacoby Iron Works, you’re not just another order, you’re taking my
family name and design into your home or corporate project and that means that it had better be right
or it’s wrong, just like Dad used to say.
